Facet blocks Computertomographic- and image converter-aided facet block (injection in the vertebral joint)
With the help of an image converter and, if necessary, the injection of an x-ray image intensifier, a special injection needle is precisely placed directly within the vertebral joint. Following precise placement, various medications are injected.
Indication
- arthrosis of vertebral joints
- dislocation of the spinal column
- facet syndrome (vertebral joint pain)
- pseudoradicular pain (local, non-radiating pain)
- diagnostic blocks (i.e. prior to heat probe-therapy/thermocoagulation)
- blockage of small vertebral joints
