Computertomographic- and image converter-aided periradicular therapy (PRT) By injection treatment near the nerve roots of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal column with the help of an image converter (and, if necessary, an x-ray contrast intensifier), a special injection needle is placed precisely in the area of the nerve root. Following precise placement, various medications are injected.
Indication
- protruding intervertebral discs
- stenosis of the spinal canal or neuroforamen (constriction of the vertebral or nerve canal)
- post-nucleotomy syndrome (pain following disc su rgery)
- acute and chronic nerve root irritation (ischia pain)
