The computertomographic- and image converter-aided blockade technique makes precise pain treatment possible. An exact diagnosis, however, is prerequisite. And supplementary treatments, such as physiotherapy, are necessary as follow-up. Also, the procedure must occasionally be repeated.

Advantage

This is a minimally invasive procedure and can be conducted on an outpatient basis in our clinic. Lengthy open surgery can be avoided. And medicinal consumption is reduced following successful therapy.

Follow-up

A specialized physiotherapy program requiring the coordination of physical therapist and doctor should begin immediately following the procedure.

Ability to work

Light physical activity can usually begin within one to two weeks, depending upon the exact diagnosis.

Sports

Sports can usually be resumed when the treatment is completed.
