In-patient spinal surgery. Procedure An informational discussion and examination of the surgical preparations take place on the day of stationary admittance. In the event that further examinations in preparation for the operation are necessary, they can be conducted in the clinic.
The length of the in-patient treatment depends upon the necessary diagnostic and therapeutic or operative measures. Usually such questions can be clarified in advance. Sometimes a physiotherapy program for rehabilitation is begun during the inpatient stay. Depending upon the type of procedure, the in-patient can be discharged as early as the day following the treatment. All questions concerning inability to work, follow-up treatment, control examinations, or when you can participate in sports again are cleared up between you and the doctor during the inpatient stay.
