Every joint is surrounded by an electrical field. This bio-electric field induces among other things a continuous regeneration of cartilage and/or the surrounding connecting tissue. In patients who suffer from arthrosis or have suffered from a joint injury, this field is, however, interrupted. The regeneration of cartilage no longer functions and the disease progresses unstoppably.
Signals that the body understands PST supports the body's own mechanism of repair, and promotes natural regeneration. Pulsating signals with a special signal pattern (PST-Technology) are sent via a coil in the area to be treated. The patient only needs to hold the affected joint in the coil. In this manner, the stimulation of cartilage cells without known side effects can be induced.
The procedure lasts only 60 Minutes and must be conducted daily over nine to twelve consecutive days. Busy patients, or patients who are unable to conduct the therapy in our clinic, receive a mobile PST device for comfortable use at home.
Clinical studies show that the PST procedure leads to a significant reduction in pain. In the joint, the joint-fluid is normalized and a reversal of the inflaming changes is achieved. Also, the mobility of the joint is improved.
Indication at the lower limbs
- Arthrosis (as long as there is yet remaining joint cartilage)
- Meniscus damage (as long as it hasn't yet resulted in mechanical blockage)
- Damage to the knee's extension-apparatus including cartilage and tendon damage as a result of overexertion
Indication at the upper limbs
- joint pain in the area of the shoulder joint, as well as elbow joint pain, e.g. tennis elbow
Indication at the spinal column
- Degenerative changes of vertebral joints and discs
Positive results are reported with chronic polyarthritis and ankylosing splondylitis, just the same as with Meniscus damage (as long as it hasn't resulted in mechanical joint blockage).
