How does Osteopathy Work? Through the precise manipulation of his hands, the osteopath restores the physiological mobility of the tissue and frees up blockages. For this purpose, he implements various techniques that range from a gentle, functional kneading of the tissue (which is hardly perceivable by the patient) to structural techniques with short, strong impulses. In the sense of an interaction between structure and function, the osteopath restores the missing mobility to the structure (i.e. the tissue), so that the tissue can regain its original function. The osteopath therefore helps the body to heal itself.
